In order for the United States of America to complete globally, education needs to be free and accessible to everyone. The costs associated with a college education deters many capable citizens of a chance at the American dream. For those who are a able to attend college, the crushing debt is not easily paid off due to the lack of quality, high paying jobs. Additionally, the infrastructure to maintain the debt is enormous and being rid of a cumbersome machine would free up more funds for other areas in the government.
Therefore, We the People propose the federal government eliminate all student debt and provide funds for every eligible American to attend college free of charge.
