Corruption in politics has always been around, but the information era granted citizens access to substantial knowledge concerning our electoral process. The internet has allowed people to move on from the "mediaopoly" that plagues network news. Greed obstructs the trickle down intention of corporate welfare and has allowed prejudice become the press. Unfair practices and abuse of power has allowed individuals to exploit, devalue, and demerit our democratic process. Both candidates won their primaries unfairly and deserve to be in prison, but are not because of their status. There are more reluctant voters now than ever before in history; We should not settle for our nation's leader. Stop this accepted manner of operation, add third parties to debates, and/or replace nominees altogether.
