Eliminate the tax liability on olympic medals. I was appalled to learn that a gold medal winner is taxed $9000. Wrong!

Did you know that US Olympic Athletes are taxed on their olympic winnings? Other countries financially support their Olympians. At the very least, their actual olympic winnings should be tax free. Their earning from sponsorships, etc. is a different story, but a Gold Medalist develops a tax liability of $9000 for each Gold Medal - this just seems wrong.
