This petition is to eliminate taxpayer funded vacations for politicians and other government employees. President Obama's recent Hawaii vacation cost over $8 million to taxpayers. In today's weakened economy and with a growing national debt, it is unjustifiable and unpatriotic for our political leaders to go on lavish vacations when the average family is having to cancel theirs and many are just struggling to survive. Any vacations should be funded through personal assets, not government funds!
