Eliminate the teaching of the history of slavery in the educational system.

The teaching of the history of slavery in our educational system does not teach our children the skills they need in today's society and work force. It only propogates the one thing that we as Americans have been trying to get rid of for generations...racism and hate. Every person's lineage is fraught with some sort of oppression beginning in the early days of the Bible. Further we should not be teaching our children racism in school by teaching about slavery. Slavery has long been in the past and as well where it should be left. President Obama, you want the United States to move "forward". Then let's do that as the word suggests..UNITED. Teaching slavery creates racism and moves us backwards. You can only start to end something by action...we are asking for this action today.
