Eliminate time-binding service contracts required by service providers for service (e.g. cellular phone 2-year contract)

Created by J.P. on December 18, 2013

Cellular phone companies, satellite television companies, cables companies, and home security companies all may vary in the service they provide, but unfortunately, they are all similar in that they wish to prevent citizens from having the right to choose. The beauty of America is that we have a free market. A free market cultivates competition, which benefits the consumer. However, many consumers are unable to take advantage of this American principle because of companies like the aforementioned trapping them in service contracts. Minor requests like requesting 60 minutes more a month for cellular phone service or a premium satellite or cable channel results in having to enter into a 2-year contract. It is unacceptable and un-American.
