Our prison system is filled with prisoners who are living out their life on our tax dollar in spite of being sentenced to death for their violent crimes. This is a slap in the face of the families who have lost loved ones to these violent offenders, as well as to the jury of their peers who found them guilty and worthy of death, and to those of us who have to sit back and watch them live out their lives at our expense.
What right do these criminals have to sympathy or life? How can you justly allow these murders to continue to live, sucking not only the life out of those that they murdered, but their families as well through neglect of justice?
When there is no true and swift response to villainous acts against humanity what is left to deter others from committing the same crime?
