The Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) has been used as a giant piggy bank for many of the assets the government has helped with this program. This program has been abused by many corporations and banks, and I believe this program should be taken off the books before we go any further in debt as a nation.
According to numbers the TARP program has spent 688 BILLION on companies such as Citigroup, Bank of America, GM, etc. The companies used this bailout money frivolously. Banks buying other banks, giving huge bonus's to the executives, and it didn't stop when they received money from TARP. Why spend money, when we have none? Let these companies that made bad decisions go under, I don't see no one bailing out mom and pop joints that went under during the recession.
