The attacks on 9/11 resulted in the creation of the TSA. Since its founding almost 12 years ago the TSA has failed to stop a single act of terrorism. It has impinged upon civil rights of passengers and is a growing bureaucracy that now decided that knives are acceptable in planes, while containers of shampoo are dangerous.
Three main points about the TSA are:
1) The egregious waste of tax dollars that go into funding the TSA.
2) The stupendous amounts of personal time and business efficiency lost to the TSA. I'd be the damage is greater than the tax bill.
3) Well publicized history of petty crime and personal abuses - (perhaps isolated) - perpetrated by people who were hired to "protect" us.
It is time to end the TSA and return to the reasonable security of pre-9/11 at airports.
