Eliminate the use of standardized testing in the education system.

Standardized testing has been a huge part of the education system since the mid 1800s. Of course, education has changed dramatically since then. The world has changed, and there has been an ongoing shift in the education system as well. The way students are evaluated today should be different from how they were evaluated two hundred years ago. Making students take standardized tests does not improve their educational ability, but instead, hinders them with added stress. These tests create a robotic way of teaching, where the teacher teaches the information for the kids only to pass the test, not to really teach them. This petition is the first step to eliminating standardized testing in the modern day education system.
