The services given by the USPS have increased tremendously in the last decade. Their service, after more than two centuries from its creation, is still mediocre and its cost to Americans is high. Allowing private companies to handle our mail will create a more efficient system and will remove a good fraction of the government workers and their costs. With its dismantling, every American would be able to demand a better service through civilian sues, which is impossible to do in our present situation.
