Elimination of the Electoral College

Eliminate the use of the Electoral College in the election of the President of the United States. The time has come to give each citizen an equal voice in the election of their President regardless of which state they live in. No single vote in any state should have more influence in the election of the President because of the number of electoral votes that state has. The election of the President should be based on popular vote, one equal vote per citizen of legal voting age. We elect every other government official by the popular vote of the people and should elect our President by the popular vote of each voting citizen of the United States as well.
