The Republican and Democratic party systems were created in the early 1800s to organize the government to separate from the Federalist Party. In our current system of government, there is no single element of government that more divides our government and society in general. All representatives of our people should be no more than representatives, not as party representatives as well. All elections should be based on all candidates being equal and voicing their beliefs and what they will work toward, and people decide on those agendas, rather than deciding on a party. The Presidential race should be reduced to two candidates that receive the top total primary votes, rather than the leaders of separate parties. The benefit of party elimination far outweigh any good it does.
