Whereas the government of the United States may be considering the minting of a trillion dollar coin as a means to pay it's mounting national debt, I hereby submit for your consideration that the face of Stephen T. Colbert be the image upon the heads side of that coin, should it be made. As an American icon that lies outside the realm of politics this would prevent any argument, shame, or undue credit to either political party vying for one of their own to grace the coin. This, I believe, would expedite the process of approval by dampening partisan debate, removing aesthetics from the discussion, and empowering the government to move forward toward conclusion without convolution.
