***EMERGENCY*** Expand Federally protected Civil Rights to the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) community

Created by N.S. on April 01, 2015

As state same-sex marriage bans are struck down as unconstitutional, many legislators are lashing out at the LGBT community by passing heinous discriminatory legislation.

As of 3/24/15 more than 85 such bills in 28 states have been filed for the 2015 legislative sessions. These include the "Religious Freedom" laws signed by Gov. Pence in IN and passed by the Arkansas General Assembly. Also a significant number of bills in W. Virginia, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Texas which would nullify non-discrimination protections at the city level and prevent new ones from being passed.

Science has proven to us that homosexuality is as biological as our skin color. Based on the rampant discrimination across the nation, it is past time to include the LGBT community in Federal Civil Rights laws.
