Emmaleigh’s Law - Increase funding to prevent child sexual abuse and to provide child mental health mental care.

Created by J.D. on October 06, 2016

Sexual abuse of our Nation’s children is a bi-partisan issue. Recently, Emmaleigh B. of West Virginia, who was less than 10 months old, lost her life as a result of sexual abuse.

Her death, and the trauma resulting from sexual assault nationwide, is a stain on our National character. In the US, more than 500,000 children are victims of sexual assault each year. Sexual assault is a vicious cycle.

Of those who commit sexual assault, at least 50% were victims of assault themselves. More must be done to eliminate the cycle of abuse by those who were victims of sexual assault.

This Petition seeks to increase funding to the ACF in order to provide the funds necessary to provide psychological health care to any child in the United States who has been the victim of sexual abuse.
