This country lacks, for whatever reason, a Comprehensive Energy Policy. We need to get on with it and since Congress seems unable to perform the task at this junction, then the President should empanel a committee consisting of citizens, corporate people, regulators, and others having a stake in energy.
I would suggest adding the voice of T. Boone Pickens to this panel.
The resulting policy would be used by the Administration and submitted to the Congress as a suggestion/blueprint for any needed legislation.
