We need more protection at our schools, and doing anything to marginalize our 2nd amendment rights is not an option. The idea of employing police officers is a waste of resources. We have an abundance of Veterans and they could use the jobs and already have related training. Veterans would also get great satisfaction from protecting students, after all fighting for our country and our way of life is how they became Veterans. It would also lend some perspective and respect for our Veterans to the up and coming generations.
