Empower the FCC to create a smartphone app for the automated reporting of unsolicited telemarketing calls and texts

Created by E.V. on January 09, 2013

Empower the FCC to fund the creation of a multi-platform smartphone app for the automated reporting of unsolicited and/or fraudulent telephone calls and text messages. The app should be able to, within just a handful of clicks, report the pertinent information relating to the call or text message without having to manually key it in.

Simultaneously, and on the back end, empower the FCC to take rapid punitive action against violators of existing communications law using aggregated data collection from the reporting app.

The system should also give end users some kind of follow-up feedback about the effectiveness or consequence of their reporting.
