Empower our nation's school faculty members to help them protect the children that they have been entrusted to teach

It has been proven that some criminals prey on the weak and defenseless, and are less likely to attack those that can effectively resist or protect themselves. Most of us entrust our children into the care of school faculty members every day of the week for 9 to 10 months of the year. In lieu of the recent mass shootings, our national government should address empowering these adults (school faculty members) with voluntary participation in training and certification in devices of protection, both lethal and non-lethal, including, but not limited to, firearms, tasers, stun guns, OC pepper spray, etc.
