War affects the lives and livelihood of all the citizens and leads to death, destruction and suffering of many people in several countries.
Currently the decision to go to war has been delegated to the representatives of the people: Members of the Senate, Congress and the President.
The internet has made it possible for the people to directly partake in major decisions that affect their well being and safeguard the country. I petition the President
1-Devise secure internet based voting system that can be used to allow the people to cast their votes directly and expediently.
2-Empower the people to decide directly on issues and proposal deemed of great importance to the nation, foremost being the decision to wage a war.
Direct popular vote represents faithfully the will of the people.
