The citizens of the United States are now well known to have information collected about them by the various intelligence agencies present in the country. What the population doesn't know is what is specifically being kept about them. When FOIA requests are submitted asking such information, citizens are returned with a letter that states that the information needs to be kept secret for national security purposes. There is nothing that people do today that isn't being tracked by multiple entities, primarily companies. There is, therefore, no reason that a citizen can go to Google and easily find the specifics of their location history, but that citizen cannot retrieve the same information from the NSA or other government entity.
