Enable convicted felons, who have successfully completed parole, to rent apartments instead of living on the streets.

Created by K.G. on May 23, 2012

Please help convicted felons, who have successfully completed parole, to rent apartments in the community. I've been convicted of 9 felonies, beginning in 1992. Each time I went to prison and got out I had no place to turn but to the streets; which landed me right back in jail. Today, I have 6 years clean & sober, with gainful employment and cannot get an apartment. I have to live across the street from drug dealers and pimps because I can't rent an apartment. On top of that, I've lost $225.00 in application fees because some complexes will tell you that it depends on what shows up on their report when they run you...but they can't run you without that $35. We have the right to live in safe communities. We have paid our debt to society. Stop throwing us back in the streets.
