Staff Sergeant Thomas Florich died when the Black Hawk helicopter he was riding in crashed into the Santa Rosa Sound in dense fog Tuesday night. He and three other flight crew members plus seven Marines were killed when the helicopter crashed into about 25 feet of water in the channel of the sound. As a member of the Louisiana National guard, Staff Sergeant Florich was not on active duty when he died, even though he was on a training mission. Please make it possible for Staff Sergeant Thomas Florich's family to have him buried (not inurned) in Arlington.
