Enable financial and physical independence for the disabled.

Created by I.B. on July 23, 2014

As Medicare/Medicaid stand, not only do they not work for the disabled, but actively work AGAINST the disabled who wish to live independent lives. We were rolled in to the old system intended for the elderly, but we are far more diverse than simple old age.

We have restrictions on finances, how much we are allowed to have in assets or savings. How can you live on your own if you can't save for when bad things happen? What if I want to save for a car, so I don't have to beg for rides to my appointments? What if I want to live by myself, and not have to rely on my parents, or be married? Disability doesn't allow any of this and that HAS to change. Either Medicare/Medicaid need to change their systems to accommodate the diverse needs of the disabled, or we need our own system.
