NASA's vision is inspirational, and their work fires the imagination and stirs the hearts of Americans of all ages, ethnicities and backgrounds. However, NASA's current and future missions are constrained by government budget spending choices. Taxpayers who would like to contribute even a small amount directly in support of NASA's missions have no option to do so. We petition the Obama administration to make such an option available. For example, each taxpayer could have the option to contribute a small amount (say, $7) when filing their taxes, in such a way that the government's budget remains otherwise unaffected.
