Holding elected office in the government of the United States is a service and NOT a career. When people are elected and the desire for re-election overcomes the desire to protect our freedoms, the structure of our government must be changed. I ask the President of the United States to request a law that will change the amount of time a member of the House and Senate can legally serve to two 4-year terms. It is essential that we take special interest and even the appearance of corruption out of our governing body. By the people, of the people, and for the people; those are not simply words, and they need to be upheld. Thank you for your time in reading this request.
