Enact an Amendment to the Constitution that clearly specifies the Separation of Church and State.

We the people of the United States request that a new Amendment to the Constitution be signed into law that shall clearly designate to the constituency the Separation of Church and State. The following would be covered under this Amendment:

1) Tax-exempt status for funded religious institutions (i.e. Churches, Synagogues, etc.) would be retracted.

2) Elected officials and candidates thereof will be barred from receiving financial donations from religious institutions.

3) All Federal and State agencies and municipalities will not adopt, espouse, display, or include references to any one religion or religious institution.

4) There will be no Federal or State mandated holiday based upon a religion or religious institution.

5) Congress shall not enact a law based upon religious belief.
