enact and encourage legislation that better funds mental health care.

Created by R.P. on December 17, 2012

Recent tragedies have seen many innocent Americans harmed due to others suffering from untreated mental illness. When untreated or under-treated mental illness turns to violence of any kind, whether it be with guns, cars, physical roughness, etc -- we all lose.

Since private insurance is not funding mental health care and mental health providers adequately, those decisions are affecting all of us (as seen in the nationally covered stories in Oregon (Clackamas Town Center), Connecticut (Sandy Hook), Colorado (Colombine and the Century Movie theater), Utah (Trolley Square), as well as the many less covered stories, and the federal government needs to intervene in order to make America safer for all.
