This petition meant is to place the responsibility of gun violence on the owners of firearms. This does not infringe on the second amendment but squarely places the bulk of economic responsibility on the back of gun owners. The more guns you own, the more you will pay annually. This tax will pay for increased security at schools, mental health services, and medical services associated with gun violence.
