To safeguard the future generations' environment, health, and safety, and to adhere to a more beneficial society a ban of tobacco products must be enacted by the United States Government by at least the year 2015. The ban would not permit anyone born after 2015 to purchase or use tobacco in fear of repercussion. The ban's effects would not be felt truly until much later when the newly aged generations would have the option of smoking, but by then with the decrease of the population of the smoking generation and the loss of such an advertising group for tobacco companies, the future generations would have a less incentive to smoke. The benefits to the society would ideally be the increase of productivity, decrease in healthcare cost, and many more yet to be named.
