Enact a ban on underweight models and openly declare 'edited' images in the media, as France has done.

Created by M.H. on December 29, 2015

We The People, request that our country follow in making restrictions for the weight and body condition of models. With eating disorders and self harm rates climbing, the pressure to be 'perfect' has caused emotional and mental damage to men and women across the nation. We ask that models be required to show medical certification that their BMI is at least 18 to encourage a healthier image for America. Companies should also clearly label any images 'Edited' when software has been used to change them, with the disclaimer being a least 10% of the total image size. Fines and other enforcements can help implement these changes and renovate our culture to become one of more ready acceptance for various body shapes. Help us restore confidence in all of our citizens, because everyone is beautiful
