Political district gerrymandering has become a significant issue in states across the country. State government officials are manipulating the size and shape of political districts to suit their own needs and not the needs of their constituents. We believe this is a trend that needs to stop.
Comedian Ben Kissel introduced a standard practice for redistricting based on the Little Caesar's "Big! Big!", "Pizza by the foot", "Bigfoot" pizza popular in the 1990's. This pizza was cut into quadrilateral polygons of equal area and edge length (or "squares"), insuring a fair portion of deliciousness for all. We feel that a similar plan can, and should, be introduced in federal legislation to solve the problem of gerrymandering.
