When our founding fathers setup our country, they never intended for the general public to be given the right to vote. They felt it was too much power for such uninformed people to have. That was never more evident until the last few years. It is apparent that people who have no idea how the government works or what they can and cannot do. It is also clear that most people have no idea what is even written in the constitution. If voters have no idea what the basic functions of government are, how can they be allowed to vote? That is why passing a test about our government and constitution should be a prerequisite to voting.
