Enact change by which all salaries paid to elected government officials are voted on by the citizens of the U.S.A

This petition requests legislative change by which all salaries of elected federal government officials be subject to a popular vote by the people. Current salaries are established trough law or as required by the Constitution. The purpose of this petition is to request action to change those laws and portions of the Constitution. If any group of elected officials fails to perform their duties in good faith they should be held accountable to the people trough this vote. Having citizens vote on the salaries for all members of Congress, the Senate and other elected positions would ensure that accountability readily. This vote could be enacted at point of election and biennially there after. As all regular citizens elected officials should be held accountable for their on the job performance.
