It is obvious that our politicians do not work for us, the citizens of this country, they work for the people that give them money to get elected. A corporation is not a citizen of this country. We have got to find a way to eliminate the corrupting influence of money in elections. Politicians need to spend time and energy addressing the issues that confront our country, not pandering to special interest groups to get more money to get re-elected. I would think that all politicians that sought office to help our country would welcome public financing of campaigns. It would free them to do good things for our country. Our elections need to be about ideas, not how much money you can spend.
