Enact comprehensive campaign finance reform.

Created by M.A. on December 07, 2011

According to the Supreme Court, dollars are speech - so how can the government limit financial contributions to political campaigns? Instead, remove regulations from donors, and require campaign accounts to have a $0 balance at the end of an election cycle. This will reign in large campaign contributions and curb the influence of special interest groups. In addition, each election will further demonstrate the will of the people, as an incumbent's advantage over an opponent will be substantially lowered. Contributions would be made based on current job performance; no longer would an incumbent prevail simply because of an excessive campaign war chest from elections past.
