ENACT CONGRESSIONAL WAGE AND BENEFIT REFORM

Created by C.B. on November 13, 2012

The taxpayers of the United States seek substantial reform of Congressional wages and benefits. At a time when the US taxpayer's individual wealth continues to decline our elected officials prosper. Therefore, it is requested that the President by executive order, freeze congressional salaries and enact a 30% wage reduction accross the board to all members of congress pending passage of a balanced budget ammendment. As well, for each quarter of the fiscal year that such ammendment is not passed an additional 5% reduction will be automatically triggered. As well, pension and medical benefits would be brought into line with private sector national averages. Future congressional pay raises would be voted on by the public during the general election, not by congressional rubber stamp!
