End the gridlock and corruption in Congress by imposing term limits for members of the US Senate and US House of Representatives. The longer a member of Congress remains in office, the longer they gain power and cater to special interest groups and political action committees of a few rather than representing the interests of their constituents at large. It is sickening that the same incumbent career politicians get elected term after term simply because they can get special interest money to get themselves re-elected.
We the people request that US Senators be limited to serving two 6-year terms for a total of 12 years. US House of Representatives should be limited to four 2-year terms for a total of 8 years. The president is limited by the Constitution to serving two 4-year terms.
