The people of this nation deserve a credit reporting system that is fair and accurate. The system we have now is very flawed and hurting the middle class and our economy. If so much of our society and economy is linked to credit bureaus it should be as accessible and accurate as possible.
Make online availability to credit report easier without charge. At least one report a month free and easy to access.
No duplicate reports. If an item is placed with another agency for collection the original report must be removed.
The item must be removed in a set time frame regardless of how often it changes collection agencies.
Housing and Utility/communication providers can not report delinquencies if they don't report monthy payments.
Credit bureaus must meet certain standards or be fined
