enact an executive order abolishing Daylight Saving Time from the Uniform Time Act of 1966.

Created by D.M. on March 10, 2014

Daylight saving time is an antiquated idea that does more harm than good in the 21st century. The Uniform Time Act of 1966 was not meant to address farmers' plight as is occasionally misinterpreted. It was done to save electricity and money during the daytime hours, as Americans used more electricity at night. However, in the last decade, our daily lives have changed to the point where electrical use between nighttime and daytime is almost negligible. However, the day after DLS has the most heart attacks and car accidents than almost any other day of the year due to sleep deprivation. Productivity suffers, and thus, so does our economy. Not every state follows it, and most people can't even spell it properly (calling it daylight savingS instead). Abolish DLS for our health and our economy.
