One of the founding principles of our government is that it be a tripartite body in which there is a system of checks and balances. With the Legislature failing to meet even a basic benchmark in fulfilling the duties to which it was elected, it would seem to fall to either the executive or the judiciary or both to add real pressure, as to a bleeding wound, to staunch the flow of the faith of the American people which is bleeding freely away from their law makers.
What we propose is Simple: Failure to find a long term sustainable solution to the Fiscal Cliff by the end of February 2013 shall result in permanent ineligibility for re-election of ALL sitting members in both houses of Congress through Executive Order.
