There is an apparent and distinct discrimination regarding third party candidates and national elections. There needs to be strong reform to allow Third Party Candidates to have some legitimacy in Federal Elections.
Some ideas to do this are:
1) Removing or reforming signature requirements to appear on the ballots.
2) Allowing legitimate Third Party Candidates to participate in televised debates.
3) Federal Financial Assistance to give Third Party Candidates a sense of Financial Freedom beyond trying to raise funds through individual campaign fund raising. Political Parties have a lot of money to back candidates; many third party candidates don't have an actual party to financially back them.
4) Remove preferential treatment of Republicans and Democrats in Federal Elections.
