The purpose of this petition is to stop the states/ counties/ cities from taking the very last possession that most seniors have, their homes, based on their inability to continue paying ever increasing property taxes with retirement incomes. Every year property taxes increase and yet the incomes of seniors barely keep up with the increases in the cost of living and Medicare increases. No senior is ever asked if they can afford these increases, they are just "expected" to pay them.
