Enact finite term limits for members of Congress. Not to exceed two consecutive terms in both the House and Senate.

Created by A.M. on June 13, 2012

It is blatantly obvious that Congress is more concerned with re-election than with making the tough decisions necessary to protect our future and correct the outrageous spending Washington has been involved in for years.

Congress MUST enact tougher reform, cut budgets and operate within their means. Currently elected members of Congress have clearly demonstrated an inability to make tough decisions, handicapped as they are, by their desire to be re-elected and maintain the status quo.

Finite term limits for members of Congress would no doubt motivate elected members to more diligently enact needed change during their shorter tenures.

This would allow for new leadership in Congress more often and foster openness and innovation.

We must enact two term limits! No more career politicians
