In the wake of today's shootings I propose this; The Sandy Hook Clause, when indicted for a school shooting (assuming the shooter survives) you cannot plead temporary insanity and do not need proof of premeditation. You will be charged with a more severe charge than murder, as such that you receive a minimum of one life sentence, no chance of parole, and are placed in the highest security prison possible. This clause would also bring harsher penalties to anyone who brings weapons into school grounds, with or without intention of harm. Knives, guns, explosive it doesn't matter. Also, any threat that is made to attack a school will be cause for imprisonment without parole for at least 2 years.
