Congress has created bills over the last several years for the Gold Star Father's Act. To amend chapter 21 of title 5, United States Code, to provide that fathers of certain permanently disabled or deceased veterans shall be included with mothers of such veterans as preference eligibles for treatment in the civil service. Each time this bill or similar bills have been created, they get stalled in the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. This bill, should it become law, would NOT cost the taxpayers or the government one thin dime. It's time this Bill became law!!!!
