We believe term limits are a necessary next step in this country to finally stop the partisan bickering and address the issues that really need addressing.
Senators and Representatives have turned being a politician into a career, and they spend more time worrying about being re-elected than they do about the issues at hand. When they do have time to deal with issues, they typically only deal with issues that lobbyists have encouraged them to promote or squash. This also leads to corruption in politics.
If we were to enact term limits (two four year terms) with alternating elections every two years, we could not only stimulate politicians to address real American issues, but also alleviate this country of the constant fighting that has slowed the legislative process to a crawl.
