enact a law that limits the federal budget to 2 trillion dollars. An annual increase of 3% is permitted.

The debt and spending of the U.S. is so seriously in trouble that a complete breakdown could occur. Even if the nightmare scenario of society breakdown does not happen, our taxes will have to go up astronomically in the future. We elect the government, and the government taxes us. Why do we let this happen to us? A fixed budget number is easy to understand and hard to circumvent. 2 trillion dollars is the federal budget of 2002. Since then, is has almost doubled. Let's tell the government how much money they get to work with, and then they have to figure out how they divide it up. Anything more complicated will just lead to tricks and loopholes. Let's control how much in taxes we have to pay!
