Enact a law prohibiting all federally elected/appointed individuals and their immediate family from having any incomes other than the income generated from their federal salaries and any income that was being earned from investments for at least 5 years prior to their election/appointment.
a.Use the same boundaries that are used in most contests to determine who is effected by this.
b.Any increase in income over x% would be required to be turned over to the federal government for debt relief.
c.Stop letting people become wealthy by becoming public servants. It was never intended that politician would be a career path.
d.This may stop officials from being influenced as much by lobbyists because there would be no profit in it for them. Maybe then they will be influenced by the People
